Smoke was seen rising near the US Consulate in Dubai following what authorities described as a “drone-related incident”, marking the latest development in the rapidly escalating regional standoff.
Video clips circulated on social media, whose authenticity was later confirmed by Al Jazeera, showed smoke in the vicinity of the diplomatic complex.
Soon after, Dubai Media Office confirmed Emergency services responded to a fire near the US Consulate.
The media office said in a statement: “Dubai authorities have confirmed that a fire resulting from an accident involving a drone near the US Consulate has been successfully contained.” “Emergency teams responded immediately. No injuries were reported.”

No further details were provided regarding the origin of the drone or whether the consulate building itself was directly bombed.
