All animals deal with their community being taken away by humans, unless they can come together as one.

Along the way, there’s plenty of humor.

Three-time Academy Award-winning actress Meryl Streep plays the insect queen.

“What a great part,” said Pete Docter, executive producer and creative director of Pixar. “I mean I don’t want to give anything away, but it features heavily in one of my favorite moments in any Pixar film.”

“Be prepared to laugh and be prepared to surrender to this film,” said director Daniel Chung. “We designed it to be a journey.”

Producer Nicole Grendel added, “But I also have to warn them that there will be some tears. So, bring tissues because there will be a few tears. But in the end, you’ll mostly be laughing.”

“The world could use a little happiness and joy,” said Jon Hamm, who voted for the city’s mayor. “And it’s nice to offer some of that.”

In the film, you’ll also learn how important beavers are to our environment.

Bobby Moynihan, who voices “King George” the beaver, came dressed for the occasion. The actor was wearing a jacket of a color befitting royalty. And the real surprise: the lining.
