The Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon both share a single start line. For the 2026 race, it will feature six corrals, the first starting at 6:55 a.m
Corrals C, D, E and F will follow A and B Corral using a pulse start method – with time intervals between each corral – to reduce track congestion.
Corral assignments are determined by each runner’s expected finishing time indicated during registration.
The finish is at Lamar and Crawford, one block from the George R. Brown Convention Center.

Course time limit
Aramco Houston Half Marathon: Four hours
Chevron Houston Marathon: six hours
Runners should plan to arrive at the George R. Brown Convention Center before 5:30 a.m. on race day.
The center will open at 5 a.m., and the Houston Police Department is expected to begin closing streets in and around downtown at 5:30 a.m.
Keep in mind that there will likely be heavy traffic, and you may have to park your car a few blocks from the convention center.

The course passes through parts of several Houston area neighborhoods, including Washington Corridor, Upper Kirby, Rice, University West, The Galleria, Tanglewood, Memorial and Memorial Park. Find detailed information about closures and specific access routes for these neighborhoods.

IH-69 Eastex southbound from Polk St to SH 288 South Fwy will close at 9pm Friday, January 9th until 5am Monday, January 12th.
IH-69 southbound northbound from SH-288 to Alabama Street will be closed from 9 PM on Friday, January 9 until 5 AM on Monday, January 12.
