“Every year, 200,000 veterans come out of the military, so what Mervis does is we train veterans for technology careers through highly structured, high-level training,” said Kate Stoker, CEO of Mirvis.
Kelsey Gibson, a veteran, said Mervis has helped her in many ways, and she’s happy to see the community showing support.
“Having a support system of people who have been through what I went through and being able to provide mentorship along with tangible technical learning is extremely important,” Gibson said.

Attendees got to grab some food, drink a beer or two, and enjoy some live music.
This year the David Thacker Band as well Drew Fish Band He took the stage.
“I believe every day should be Veterans Day,” he said. Drew Fish. “The reason we celebrate the holidays, or the reason we celebrate birthdays, or just have a beer on a Friday night, is because of the veterans who served our country. So, this is a day specifically set aside to celebrate the people who gave us those freedoms.”
Central Machine Works also released a new beer, Battle Buddy Hoppy Lager, which is brewed by the brewery’s veteran brewer.
“I think veterans carry the weight of the entire country and the least we can do is give them a unique and great show once a year, which is what the name Battle Companion itself represents,” said John Bertini of Central Machine Works. “When you were in the military, you always had someone in your corner who was your battle buddy.”
