DENVER (KDVR) — It’s November, but Denver’s weather has temperatures more like spring than fall. High temperatures on Sunday will be near records, with expectations of them rising into the 80s in some locations.
Don’t forget to turn back the clock by one hour on Saturday night.
Weather tonight: calm and cold
Lows through Saturday night will only drop into the upper 30s to low 40s around metro Denver, which is well above normal.
Valley areas will likely drop below freezing, with some mountain locations approaching the teens. Winds will come from the southwest at about 10 mph.
Weather tomorrow: Possible record heat
Denver’s record high temperature on Sunday is 78 degrees set in 2008, and it could come close to or tie that in the afternoon.
Sunny skies are expected. Winds start from the west but shift to the north in the afternoon which could keep our highs down a few degrees. It will be very warm in southeastern Colorado.
LOOKING AHEAD: Staying warm and dry
Temperatures briefly dip into the low 60s on Monday, but that’s still a little above normal. Winds will be active from the south at times, speeds up to 20 miles per hour. We bounce back into the 70s on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Although Denver and lower elevations will remain dry, there is a slight possibility that the northern mountains will see snow late Thursday or Friday night. However, any accumulations are expected to be light.
Temperatures return to the mid-60s to end the work week with breezy conditions. Next weekend still looks warm with 60s expected.
No snow, rain or major storms are expected in the first half of the month.
