DENVER (KDVR) — A deep and perfect month for Denver Broncos forward Will Lutz, as he was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for October, according to a Broncos press release Thursday.
In October, Lutz did a little bit of everything, except a few missing things.
Lutz recorded all four of the Broncos’ 4-0 wins in October.
| game | FG made | Try FG | pats | Total points |
| Philadelphia Eagles | 2 | 2 | 1 | 7 |
| New York Jets | 2 | 2 | 1 | 7 |
| New York Giants | 1 | 1 | 2 | 5 |
| Dallas Cowboys | 1 | 1 | 5 | 8 |
He made a total of 15 kicks, missed none, and made six field goals and nine PATs for a total of 27 points scored. Two of them were field goals of 55 yards or longer – a 55-yard field goal against the Philadelphia Eagles and a 57-yard field goal against the New York Jets.
These marks made him the only player in the AFC to make at least two field goals of 55 yards or more.
The Broncos said he was one of only seven players to attempt at least five field goals converted. His two game-winning field goals led the NFL as well.
His numbers this year have been amazing – over the entire season so far, he has hit 10-11 field goals and recorded every PAT for 21 points, giving him a total of 51 points between field goals and PATs in 2025.
It is in the top ten in statistics, including:
- Extra points percentage: 100% – T-1
- Extra Points Made: 21 – T-6
- Field goal percentage (minimum 10 attempts): 90% – 10th
This is the third time Lutz has won the award in his career, and the second with the Broncos after scoring 36 points on 11-11 field goal attempts and 3-4 PATs in November 2023.
Lutz joins Broncos legend Matt Prater as the only players to win the award twice while playing for the franchise.
