In an Instagram post, the alpine ski racer shared some pictures from her life featuring her time at the slopes. She further highlighted the importance of speaking up about their personal hurdles and how she overcomes these while being with friends. She wrote:
“It’s World Mental Health Day…and I have been doing a lot of reflecting. No one truly knows what someone else is going through. We often struggle in silence, putting on a brave face and pretending everything is fine- even when it’s not. That’s why it’s so important to check in with the people you care about.”
Vonn is set to start her 2025-26 skiing season in a few weeks. She has spent most of her off-season in Chile, where she trained with several of her US teammates, such as Lauren Macuga. Moreover, the Minnesota native has also spent time in training with her recent addition to the coaching team, Aksel Lund Svindal, who is a two-time Olympic champion and also has 36 world cup wins to his name.
