Victim shot during Vacaville home invasion robbery Thursday

(KRON) – The victim of a Vacaville home invasion robbery is recovering after being shot during a violent confrontation Thursday, according to authorities. Later, one of the suspects was arrested in the robbery, while the second suspect is still on the run.

The Vacaville Police Department responded at 2 p.m. to a home in the 500 block of Chateau Way after receiving a report from a resident that an armed robbery had just occurred. Arriving officers found an adult suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the extremities, police said. This victim was transported to a local hospital where he was last listed in stable condition.

After receiving information about the two robbery suspects, law enforcement located the suspect vehicle in Fairfield, according to Vacaville Police. One of the suspects, DeAndre Wilson, 29, of Sacramento, was arrested without incident and booked into the Solano County Jail.

“The second suspect is still outstanding,” police said. “However, as a result of the investigation into this incident, investigators have discovered leads that are being actively investigated.”

Authorities do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to contact the Vacaville Police Department at 707-449-5200.
