Denver weather: Warm and sunny Thursday

DENVER (KDVR) — The warming trend in Denver weather continues Thursday ahead of the next chance for showers and cooler temperatures.

The weather tonight: mostly clear, moderate

Wednesday will remain mainly clear and dry. Low temperatures will drop into the upper 40s with a southwesterly breeze, which will be about 10 degrees warmer than normal for this time of year.

Weather tomorrow: sunny and warm

As for Thursday, it will be sunny and warm. High temperatures will reach the lower 80s, nearly 15 degrees above normal for this time of year, but still far from the daily record of 87 degrees set in 1910.

Looking ahead: Cooler, and a chance for showers

Opportunities start moving on Friday. Clouds will increase before the next chance of rain. Rain will increase in the mountains before moving toward the I-25 corridor by the afternoon and into the evening. Temperatures are expected to reach highs in the mid-70s, which is still about 15 degrees above average for this time of year.

The weekend will bring a slight chance of rain and highs in the mid 70s on Saturday and Sunday. Then more seasonal cold settles in Monday with highs in the 60s.
